DMCA & Copyright Policy
Low Voltage Components (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects users of lowvoltagecomponents.com (the “Site”) to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), 17 U.S.C. § 512, we will respond promptly to valid notices of claimed copyright infringement.
Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that content on the Site infringes a copyright you own or control, you may submit a written notice (a “DMCA Notice”) to our Designated Copyright Agent. To be effective, your notice must include the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail (such as the URL) for us to locate it;
- Your contact information, including name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
Designated Copyright Agent
Send DMCA Notices to our Designated Agent:
- David Perfito, Owner
- Low Voltage Components LLC
- [MAILING ADDRESS — street, Escondido, CA 92027]
- Phone: (310) 702-0504
- Email: d2perfito@lowvoltagecomponents.com
Please note: under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages.
Counter-Notification
If you believe that material you submitted was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification to our Designated Agent that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature;
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- Your name, mailing address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the U.S., any district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original DMCA Notice or its agent.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed material in accordance with the DMCA, unless the original complainant files a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.
Repeat Infringers
We reserve the right, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, to remove submitted material, block access to the Site, or terminate any account or relationship with a party determined to be a repeat infringer.
Ownership of Site Content
Except for user-submitted content and material used under license from third parties, all content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, project photographs, system designs and drawings, and software — is the property of Low Voltage Components or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our prior written permission.
Manufacturer names, logos, and product images appearing on the Site — including those of Control4, Crestron, Lutron, Triad, and other brands we install — are the trademarks and copyrighted property of their respective owners and are used to identify the products and services we supply and support. Their appearance does not imply any endorsement beyond our authorized dealer or installer relationships.
Unauthorized Use of Our Content
Photographs of our completed installations, our written service descriptions, and our project documentation are original works owned by Low Voltage Components. We actively monitor for unauthorized reproduction of this material and will pursue removal from any website, marketplace, directory listing, or social media account that republishes it without permission. If you have licensed or been given permission to use our content, that permission is limited to the specific use granted in writing.
If you believe another party is using our content without authorization, we welcome the report at the contact details above.
